Junior Business Analyst

Job Description

Position Purpose:

Will work with development and operations team as a liaison between technical resources and back-office personnel, ensuring a smooth flow of information in development of business requirements. This position will actively monitor project progress as well as generate reports to fulfill data requests.

Primary Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

• Interface with functional departments to gather and aggregate process specs and business logic
• Write documentation for business requirements and translate into possible technological solutions.
• Propose solutions to problems while considering timeliness, effectiveness, and practicality in addressing needs.
• Learn business processes and flow of information with aim to increase efficiency and informational dissemination.
• Candidate will ideally evolve into a multi-skilled individual with a thorough understanding of core business, internal personnel, and external clients.
• Maintains prompt and regular attendance.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science or similar.
• 0-2 years of related experience preferred
• Candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to be able to gather business requirements and understand underlying processes.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced work environment with an action and results orientated approach.
• Deliver quality work consistently with minor supervision.
• Candidate must have good time management skills and be highly organized.
• Be self-sufficient and have creative approaches to problems by being resourceful.
• Microsoft office Suite with emphasis on Excel for longer term analytical solutions.
• Ability to navigate databases and run SQL scripts/queries as a complimentary skill set. Or desire to build such a skill set.

• Climate controlled office environment
• Minimal physical requirements other than occasional light lifting of boxed materials
• Dynamic, time-sensitive environment
• Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer.
