Cloud Engineer (Junior)

Join Gong's R&D team as a Junior Cloud Engineer in a dynamic and highly technical environment

***Available to work from Dublin, Ireland***

Responsibilities:

• Actively monitor production environments, applications, and deployment pipelines for stability.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders, including R&D and security teams.
• Hold two shifts a week (mornings or evenings during work days)*, in a 24/7 Monitoring Center. During the shifts, manage incident detection and resolution.
• Perform cloud operation tasks assigned by the DevOps group when not assigned to a  monitoring shift.
• Ensure application performance, uptime, and scalability.
• Operate cloud environments following company guidelines.
• Monitor CI/CD processes and address ongoing issues.

Requirements:

          ***Available to work from Dublin, Ireland***

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience such as: Devops, SRE, Automation and Application Monitoring
• Knowledge and experience with AWS and other cloud computing technologies (a production environment is a plus).
• Familiarity with at least one of the following: 
• Scripting and automation skills, preferably in Python and bash.
• Linux environments, Kubernetes, and relevant cloud technology stacks.
• Experience with ticketing systems and monitoring/incident management tools such as JIRA, ZenDesk, Datadog, PagerDuty, Sentry, etc.
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Familiarity with security tools (Wiz, Synopsis).
• Ability to evaluate, troubleshoot, and prioritize applicative and cloud-related issues.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and proactive approach.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
• Positive attitude, high energy, and strong work ethic.
• Self-motivated, fast learner, and able to take responsibility.

*24/7 Monitoring Center Operates In 3 Shifts:

• Morning: 5:00 - 13:30
• Evening: 13:00 - 21:30
• Night: 21:00 - 5:30- Note: In non- routine cases, you may be asked to work night shifts or during weekends and will be compensated accordingly.
