Job Description

Pay Range: $67,000 - $71,000 per year.

Purpose of Position:

To assist with credit and collection processes within the company while promoting good customer relations. Maintain a prompt collection of receivables in accordance with department goals and policies.

Essential Functions:

• Constant communication via email and phone.
• Evaluate credit holds daily to ensure timely release of orders.
• Run and analyze weekly aging; collect on past due accounts.
• Research and provide account information as necessary; resolve customer inquiries.
• Evaluate and process new credit applications.
• Process revisions pertaining to existing accounts i.e. name change, billing address, ship-to address, etc.
• Request and analyze customer data to establish proper connection setup, credit terms, and limits.
• Monitor and distribute fax/emails within department inboxes.
• Process check requests and returned items.
• Access and navigate customer portals.
• Collaborate with outside Trade Groups
• Work with customers to convert to electronic invoicing and payment methods.

Additional Functions: 

• Adhere to department policies and procedures
• Establish payment arrangements with customers as needed
• Constantly look for process improvements within the position and department
• Serve as backup as needed
• Additional tasks as assigned by leadership team

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting or at least one Credit certification (CBA - Credit Business Associate).
• Three or more years' experience in credit and collections preferred.
• Minimum of 40 WPM.
• Proficient in Windows, Microsoft Office, and Adobe.
• ERP experience preferred: SAP, BW, and EDI (IBM).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Capable of resolving various issues in a detailed and comprehensive manner.
• Ability to produce results in a fast pace and challenging environment
• Must be able to work independently with all levels of management and have a high degree of organization and prioritization skills
