Junior Data Engineer

The Team:
The Financial Platform Group is part of our Data & Analytics org within Finance Planning and Analytics (FP&A). This team's charter is focused on the acquisition, processing, cleansing, and storing of our internal company data sourced from multiple business systems into a central, internal data environment. As a Junior Data Engineer, you will be working closely with our Munich-based Data Engineers and focus on improving the operations and performance of our internal data platform. This is an opportunity to help Celonis internally unlock its full execution capacity using our Celonis Execution Management System, all while balancing usability and data availability with internal customer needs.
The Role:
This role will initially focus on improving our internal Celonis EMS (Celocore). This includes, but is not limited to:

• System performance monitoring
• Process automation, development, and documentation
• Internal troubleshooting/support
• User access administration
• Becoming a Celonis Product Expert'

The work you'll do:

• Collaborate internally with multiple stakeholders and support customers with ad-hoc requests
• Create system health dashboards and reporting
• Design efficient and performant data jobs and models
• Define user/role permissions structures and access
• Maintain and generate system processes documentation
• Identify opportunity areas and develop solutions

The qualifications you need:

• Student of IT-based Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Business Informatics, or a comparable degree program with outstanding performance
• Demonstrated experience with Python and SQL (or related database query languages)
• First experiences in Business Intelligence, Dashboards, Databases, and ETL
• Exposure to Cloud Environments and tools (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)
• Strong communication skills and interest in gathering requirements and interacting with stakeholders
• Ability to think analytically, work in a structured manner, and quickly comprehend new topics and dependencies
• Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English (German is a plus)
