Junior Data Insights Analyst - Remote

The Cigna Enterprise Operations Analytics organization offers solutions that provide actionable insights to business partners. This position will collaborate with a variety of matrix partners including operations and data science teams to understand pain points and provide data necessary for analysis and decision-making impacting customers, clients, and healthcare providers with a focus on operational efficiency and positive customer experience. The analyst will work to realize these solutions through data acquisition, preparation, and analysis across a wide portfolio of source systems. They will work with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for design, development and delivery of complex data sets using an analytical mindset
• Help to drive results through reviews of data and analysis to help proactively identify areas of opportunity
• Present results and or recommendations to internal stakeholders
• Partner with stakeholders for next level analysis
• Create, communicate, and adhere to development timelines
• Balance and prioritize projects
• Lead/participate in overall discussions around application and database designs

Qualifications:

• 0-2 years of relevant experience with Bachelor's Degree
• 2-4 years of relevant experience with Associate's Degree
• 4+ years of relevant experience without a degree

Skills:

• Advanced analytical and strategic thinking skills
• Ability to explore data across systems and combine in novel ways to generate business insights.
• Experience with SQL (Oracle, Teradata, MS SQL Server, or equivalent) required.
• Experience with ETL tools (MS SSIS, Informatica, DataBricks, or equivalent) preferred.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau or equivalent) a plus.
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong communication / collaboration skills
• Customer-focused in all work activities
• Ability to extrapolate data into information to drive decisions and process improvements
• Ability to handle/balance multiple projects or tasks at a time

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 72,800 - 121,400 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
