Junior Database Administrator

We are seeking a Junior SQL Database Administrator & Developer to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the performance, security, and reliability of the company's SQL databases, developing and implementing new SQL solutions, and the opportunity to gain knowledge of Amazon cloud Administration, including services like S3, AWS RDS. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of SQL and a passion for database management and development.

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server databases
• Perform regular database maintenance, including backups, recovery, performance tuning, and security
• Monitor database performance and optimize queries and indexes
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues
• Ensure data integrity and security through appropriate backup and recovery procedures
• Collaborate with developers and other IT teams to identify and resolve production issues
• Stay current with new technology and industry trends related to database management
• Develop and implement new SQL solutions to support business requirements
• Write and maintain SQL scripts, stored procedures, and triggers
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and design SQL solutions

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 0-2 years of experience working with SQL Server databases
• Knowledge of SQL, T-SQL, and database administration
• Ability to write and maintain scripts for database maintenance and automation
• Experience with database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures
• Familiarity with Windows Server operating systems and basic networking concepts
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with SQL development, including writing stored procedures and triggers
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
