Junior Financial Analyst

Job Overview:

This position will be an important asset to the financial reporting within the company. Working in the corporate FP A group, the Financial Analyst is responsible for assisting with the overall budget, forecast and monthly reporting of financial results. The Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting senior analysts with various financial management duties. This role will collaborate across departments and with team members almost daily.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Supports the reporting of Business Line and Company results
• Assists with weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for the Business Lines and support functions
• Participates in the reporting of key performance indicators of the Company
• Contributes to the budget and forecasting processes for the Company
• Helps to analyze monthly, quarterly and annual results comparing them to budget and forecast
• Utilizes financial databases by analyzing a wide range of data sources
• Partners with accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and support
• Aids in the development of automated reports and process improvements
• Runs data integrity checks in the ERP to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Helps with the Business Intelligence tool and dashboard reports
• Supports the creation of various internal and external presentations
• Assists with the preparation of financial reports, charts, tables and other exhibits as requested
• Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Accounting or Finance required
• A qualified candidate will have up to 2+ years of relevant experience
• Requires strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint and Word and is willing to learn other technical tools quickly
• Must have good time management skills and organize work and projects to meet deadlines set by others
• The Financial Analyst communicates information, asks questions, checks for understanding, and builds team effectiveness skills
• A wide degree of initiative, creativity and latitude is expected
• A strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude required
