Job Description

Join us in this exciting role as a Junior Full Stack Engineer in our Belgrade office and help us build the future of the Swiss real estate market by contributing to our cutting edge, cloud based, technology stack.
This team team revolutionizes real estate technology. We implement authentication platforms, public APIs, and new construction solutions for the Swiss market. You will get to collaborate and access the wealth of knowledge and experience from a community of amazing engineers who come from all parts of the globe and are ready to share their expertise and aid you in your path to fulfilling your potential.

About the position:

• You will write clean, easily maintainable, modular code which will run in a serverless architecture.

• You will help design, implement, test and deliver new features that bring value to our users.

• You will learn how to use AWS and CI/CD practices to develop and deploy our features to production environments.

• You will own your own services and be responsible end-to-end for everything from development and testing to delivery and monitoring.

• You will collaborate with other engineering teams as well as your existing team to ensure the stability of our microservices architecture.

• You will challenge the status quo and continuously aim to improve the architecture, code, and tools to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.

Our tech stack:

• Our frontend is implemented with Vue.js / React, with Typescript as the language of choice. It consists of a mix of client-side, server-side, pre-rendered and hybrid web apps.

• Our backend is written in Node.js and Typescript, following a serverless and microservices architecture in a cloud based environment using AWS. Our main services leverage Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS and S3 among others. 

• Our monitoring is done mainly through Datadog and Sentry.

• Our codebase and services are documented using Backstage.

Qualifications

We know you're passionate about technology, and here's what we're looking for to help you thrive in this role:

• A solid foundation in computer science or equivalent experience - whether it’s through your degree or hands-on projects, we want to see your curiosity and drive.

• Eagerness to dive into AWS technologies and embrace the power of serverless architecture. You may not be an expert yet, but you're ready to roll up your sleeves and learn.

• A problem-solver at heart - you love challenges and can’t wait to tackle them with creative solutions.

• Team spirit and a positive attitude - you enjoy working in collaborative environments, bringing energy and ideas to the table.

• Open to growth and change - you’re adaptable, ready to learn, and excited to suggest improvements.

• Strong English communication skills to work smoothly with our international team.

It would be great if you have:

• Experience with APIs and microservices.

• Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Experience with frontend frameworks like Vue.js or React - you’ve played around with them or built something cool, and you’re keen to expand your expertise.

• Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js - whether from personal projects, internships, or coursework, you’ve got some experience under your belt.

Your first 3/6/9 months:

• Three months - comfortable within the team and good feature development pace. You grow your tech knowledge and you have the development plan.
• Six months - smooth development pace, you also joined your chosen Guild and grow according to your development plan.
• Nine months - have a successful and impactful engineering improvements within the team. You are progressing in your development plan and also collaborating within your chosen Guild.
