Junior Helpdesk Specialist

We are looking for an IT Specialist to be responsible for the smooth running of our computer systems, hardware and networking. We would like you to ensure that we have everything we need for smooth operations when it comes to corporate information infrastructure.

Meet your team

Your wonderful team consists of two IT Specialists, Anna and Faizan in Berlin, and your Manager will be Ahmed who sits in Berlin. The team together manages the IT infrastructure for all of Choco’s offices, such as networking, hardware management, third party service integrations, help desk management, cybersecurity and other computing needs for Choco, but you will mainly be focusing on our US offices. You bring customer centricity to the IT department and enable every Choco employee to be efficient and productive in their functions.

What you’ll do

• Serve as the first point of contact helping your colleagues to resolve IT related issues - software and hardware - in person or remote
• Carry out onboarding and offboarding tasks and ensure good experience for our new joiners, and for those who sadly leaves us
• Provide technical assistance for workshops or other live events
• Build processes and documentation that the team can follow for repeatable tasks
• Own inventory management of our IT assets
• Travel to other offices in US when IT support is needed

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or any IT related field, or 1-2 years of experience working in the field
• Fundamental knowledge of IT Support
• Familiarity with Google Workspace, Okta, Atlassian, MDM, O365
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to clearly communicate steps to resolve end user’s issues
• Strong customer service mindset
• Good problem solving and root cause analytical capabilities
