Junior IT Systems Engineer (Remote)

What is My Impact?

Junior IT Systems Engineers are responsible for monitoring, installation, configuration, debugging, administration, troubleshooting and maintenance of technology solutions. Associate IT Systems Engineers provide technical support, troubleshoot problems and perform scripting/programming to ensure stable and efficient operation of technology solutions.

What Will I Do?

• Tagging applications in the CMDB.
• Models applications.
• Ensures the accuracy of Service/Application Ownership
• Manages system/application environment and ongoing operations
• Ensures that the technologies are updated with current, stable, and compliant architecture and applications that meet enterprise standards.
• Proactively monitors and reports performance and utilization of assigned technologies
• Manages problem or escalated tickets and tasks and out of cycle requests from systems/software owners
• Collects and presents data for reporting and planning
• Provides input into processes and procedures related to systems/application administration
• Assists with determining migration and upgrade impacts and diagnosing/resolving technology/application errors
• Collaborates with IT and business area partners on work groups and initiatives
• Assists other IT Systems Engineers in determining best course of action for meeting business needs
• Performs on-call activities as needed for the environment and technologies

What is Required?

• 2+ years related work experience. Experience Details: Demonstrated proficiency and experience in design, implementation, monitoring and/or troubleshooting technology
• Extensive working knowledge of multiple technologies and their interfaces and integration
• Competent working in one or more environments highly integrated with an operating system
• Extensive experience implementing and administering/managing technical solutions in major, large-scale system implementations
• Ability to manage tasks independently and take ownership of responsibilities
• Ability to learn from mistakes and apply constructive feedback to improve performance
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly and articulately
• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment

What is Preferred?

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Experience analyzing business requirements and translating them into technical solutions Experience using Agile methodology
• Experience in tagging applications in the CMDB
• Experienced with ensuring the accuracy of Service/Application Ownership
• Experience modeling application
• Florida Blue and/or Guidewell experience

General Physical Demands

Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.
