Job Description

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including SaaS and software licensing agreements, partnership agreements, supply chain agreements and other standard legal documents

• Work closely with the legal team, finance team, sales and commercial teams in other offices, to provide advice and support as required.

• Assist in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures to manage legal risk

• Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant legal developments, particularly in the gaming sector and software development industry 

• Support the HR team in handling employment-related legal matters, such as drafting employment contracts and advising on employee relations issues

• Assist in intellectual property matters, including trademark registration and protection.

The role sits within the Legal function. You will report to the Senior Legal Counsel based in Isle of Man but shall be working with stakeholders across all departments in various jurisdictions. 

Qualifications

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

Please Note: This position is based at our Isle of Man office and is not open to remote workers.

• 2-4 years PQE (post-qualification experience) as a solicitor, advocate or equivalent required – this is a guideline so if you feel that you are suitable, please still apply

• Experience in the gaming industry or software development industry (not essential) 

• Strong knowledge of commercial law, including contract law

• A demonstrable interest in the gaming industry

• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills

• Highly organised and efficient, able to work in a fast paced environment, independently and with minimal supervision, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach

• Strong relationship building skills and the ability to work across different jurisdictions / cultures 

• Sense of humour
