Junior Mobile QA Engineer

Overview:

We are hiring a Junior Mobile Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our growing Engineering team. As our team grows, we aim to hire passionate, dedicated people who believe in our mission and want to join a collaborative and supportive team. Responsibilities:

• Accelerate the QA team with fresh, valued ideas in order to better test our product (in all aspects) before it gets to production

• Expand test coverage by writing user flow, regression test scripts using Appium, (in Python) for iOS and Android automation in our Bitrise pipeline

• Occasionally write Cypress tests (a Javascript end-to-end testing framework) for our Django web app

• Vet developer-written back-end unit tests and advising on points on expanded coverage, occasionally writing unit tests

• Run our application locally via Docker

• Use Jira to track and locate bugs/defects

• Assess code coverage of our testing suite

• Determine gaps in testing coverage and workflow for our mobile apps based on adept collaboration with our Product team and highly technical Engineering team
  

Skill Requirements:

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or a comparable education

• Proficiency with Git and Docker devops tools

• Experience with native mobile application testing (XCUI, Jetpack, etc)

• Proficiency with Python and Javascript (any other languages a plus)

• Understanding of Django-REST Frameworks, API’s, SQL databases, Celery, Jenkins, AWS, Node Package Manager, all of which we interact with daily

• Understanding of varied devops architectures and steps to get to full Continuous Deployment from a QA perspective
