Junior Model Home Designer

The Junior Model Home Designer uses education, artistic skill and insight to conceptualize, create and design elements of the model home interiors under direction of Model Home Designers, Assistant Manager, Manager and Director of Model Homes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Use independent judgment to select furniture and accessories in unsold inventory homes.
• Lead and/or assist in model home installations and close downs.
• Maintain and coordinate the moving of the furniture and accessories.
• Prepare and maintain reports related to the contents in unsold inventory homes.
• Maintain organization of the Accessory Warehouse, including unpacking and packing of boxes.
• Collaborate and develop in all aspects of the design process, including drawings, presentations and ordering furnishings and accessories under direction of Model Home Designers.
• Process vendor invoices and coordinate model home revisions.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in interior design or significant design-related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in related field.
• Current, valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record and reliable transportation.
• Must be willing to travel locally and in other markets for model home installations.
• Demonstrated computer skills including a working knowledge of MS Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe PDR and Adobe Photoshop.
