Junior Payroll Specialist

About the Role

Join our dynamic HR Team as a Payroll & Benefits Specialist, where we seek an experienced professional with a proven track record in payroll. This role extends beyond traditional payroll responsibilities, requiring a versatile individual to serve as the link between our HR team and external payroll providers. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in streamlining HR services, which covers payroll, benefits and other HR-related functions on an international scale.

• Coordinate payroll inputs internationally, being the link between the HR team and the external providers.
• Ensure accurate and timely payments to employees and authorities.
• Supervise tax and social security aspects impacting payroll. 
• Analyze, control, and report on the evolution of salary costs.
• Provide comprehensive support to employees regarding payroll, social security and tax inquiries.
• Work in coordination with other HR and Finance teams to address payroll-related issues.
• Take charge of managing the company's benefits package and exploring and implementing new perks.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Payroll & Benefits team.

About You

• 2-3 years of experience in payroll and benefits. Knowledge in international payroll is a plus.
• English level → C1 or higher; proficiency in any other language is a valuable asset.
• Excellent Excel or Google Sheets skills for creating and maintaining diverse payroll, benefits, and cost reports.
• Familiarity with Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of Personio is a definite plus.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Team player with enthusiasm and proactivity.
• Commitment to continuous improvement.
• Full-time position based in Madrid.
