About the role:

The Junior Procurement Analyst is a cross functional role sitting on our finance team, reporting directly to VP of FP&A. This role will be responsible for supporting our procurement initiatives.  This includes retail products, center Fixture Furniture & Equipment, medical consumables, devices, and supplies.  They will work with finance, marketing, operations, and our clinical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning & Procurement

  • Develop forecasting & demand tools to maintain appropriate inventory levels across the organization (consumables, retail, medical supplies, office supplies, etc.) 
  • Owns replenishment process and issuing purchase orders to suppliers
  • Partner with Finance and A/P for vendor contracts, credit limits, COGS management, and monthly reconciliations
  • Work with our finance leadership and accounting teams around development of budgets
  • Maintain ownership of ordering platforms and procurement systems
  • Bring best practices in strategic sourcing and procurement to drive automation and simplification
  • Effectively communicate status updates to key stakeholders, including timely identification and escalation/resolution of issues (OOS, back order, discontinued, etc.)

Inventory

  • Support scaling our inventory management processes for entire organization
  • Explore, recommend, and implement Inventory Management System
  • Responsible for managing Inventory levels across channels and partnering with other departments to anticipate risks and implement mitigation strategies. This will increase turn and reduce COGS.

Vendor Relationship Management

  • Own Vendor rewards programs end to end (Alle, Aspire, naive clients, etc.)
  • Source new supply partners to lower costs and drive Gross Margin improvement
  • Support set up of accounts with medical suppliers for new markets and centers
  • Supplier selection and management - from pre-assessment to implementation
  • Negotiates terms and/or buying agreements on categories or subsets of categories

Pricing & Retail Strategy

  • Lead convergence of plans for in-center retail, e-commerce and drop-ship opportunities
  • Provide recommendations regarding pricing for all new products in-line with market and competitive data while maintaining targeted margin requirements
  • Participate in innovation process with marketing, clinical, and operations to offer valued understanding of pricing and supply chain
  • Partner with Marketing to create offer opportunities for clients on retail
  • Analyze the daily/weekly/monthly reporting on Business Performance, including Sales Penetration, Best Sellers, Slow Sellers, Sales vs Plan, etc., with qualitative comments on key drivers, risk and opportunities. 

Experience and expectations needed for success:

  • Ability to travel to locations in NYC as needed (up to 20% of the time)
  • Remote first work, with ability to be in-person 1-2 times per week
  • Proficiency with manipulating large data sets and comfortable using google sheets
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn Business Intelligence tools such as Looker
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn accounting software such as Netsuite
  • Deep understanding of the P&L, retail math, analytics, financial/strategic modeling, forecasting, etc.
