Junior Product Specialist

Position Summary:

The Product Specialist is involved in Nuveen Natural Capital's client servicing and sales function. The position will support all aspects of prospect and investor interest in new and existing products, working closely with the product specialists and portfolio client project manager.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Analyze and update standard platform information used in RFPs, general prospect/client queries.
• Lead the development of investment presentations and coordinate compliance approval.
• Track and analyze prospect and investor notes/feedback/interactions.
• Assist with follow up from prospect and investor meetings.
• Coordinate answers to general queries and provide support in the preparation of RFPs from prospects and investors.
• Provide support in reviewing the RFPiO database to ensure it is being updated for the latest NNC RFP responses and content.
• Coordinate client due diligence meetings and asset site tours.
• Help maintain regular updates of farmland, timberland, and nature-based marketing materials (standard prospect decks and DDQs, factsheets).
• Provide a detailed progress log of prospect/client activity and feedback.
• Maintain complete documentation for all product related activities and ensure they are saved in Sharefile.
• Develop relationships with Nuveen marketing, client services, distribution, finance, legal and compliance teams as well as internal NNC relationships with business unit leaders and the broader Portfolio Management Team.
• Support the broader portfolio client specialist initiatives at Nuveen Natural Capital when required.
• Support broader Portfolio Management team initiatives when required.
• Build knowledge of farmland, timberland, natural capital and our investment funds and mandates as well as investors' base and the markets we operate in
• Manage and organize client / investor / portfolio management folders.

Required Qualifications:

• 2+years experience in an institutional distribution, product specialist or client services function

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in an institutional distribution, product specialist or client services function.
• Undergraduate degree
• Strong analytical and technical skills with attention to detail.
• Well versed in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Interest in specializing in natural capital.
• Willingness to learn about the platform and asset classes in a timely manner.
• Strong interpersonal/communication skills.
• Capacity to work productively as a member of a team as well as independently.
• Display strong initiative, ownership, and responsibility.
• Strong organizational skills to be able to manage multiple tasks often to demanding deadlines.

Base Pay Range: $67,500/yr. - $95,000/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
