Job Description
Contract roles are geared toward independent professionals interested in temporary or project-based work.
Sia Title: Project Specialist (Non-Exempt Contractor)
Project Title: Junior Project Accountant/Finance Project Coordinator
Level: Junior
Project Length: This is a temporary position with an expected duration of 6 months (with potential extension)
Project Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: Â Local to Seattle, WA
The expected compensation range for this contract is $60 to $70 per hour. The exact pay rate will vary depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to skills, experience, and location.
Key Responsibilities: The Junior Project Accountant / Finance Project Coordinator supports the Project/eCommerce team in managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and maintaining financial records. This role is responsible for assisting with financial reporting, budget analysis, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to monitor project costs, update forecasts, and assist in ensuring that financial aspects of projects are delivered on time and within budget, to ensure proper headcount and budgets are aligned.
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of project budgets.
- Track project expenses and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Support the creation of financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure proper financial tracking and compliance.
- Review and process invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports.
- Maintain detailed financial records and documentation for audits and reviews.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve financial discrepancies.
- Ensure adherence to company financial policies and project-specific guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in finance, accounting, or project management support.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Excel and financial management software.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
