The Junior Project Controls will work closely with our construction teams and internal departments, including Project Management, Procurement, Scheduling and Finance to support all aspects of project cost management and financial forecasting for E2βs Data Center Teams. The individual plans, tracks and reports actual costing in accordance to forecasted liabilities to support Project Management and the client.

- Firm knowledge of project performance measurement concepts.
- Understand the cross-discipline relations within the project team.
- Create project forecasted cash flow.
- Understand common scheduling concepts and the critical path method.
- Understand the aspects and relationships of risk, cost, and quantities on the project.
- Understand the relationship between the project estimate, project work breakdown structure, and schedule.
- Understand the collection and use of historical data from actual hours, costs, and pricing.
- Review key aspects of the project contract, assist with cost controls, and planning/scheduling activities that support the overall proposal strategy or project requirements.
- Execute proper controls to proactively support, monitor, and communicate budget, actual status and forecast costs, labor hours, and quantities for projects.
- Facilitate change order routing, and review process including documentation, costing and time impact analysis.
- Update accurate and timely project cost forecasts with the guidance of lead project controls staff.
- Collect and update timely and accurate cost data for cost report development.
- Collect and update accurate and timely data for schedule development and updates. Prepare baseline schedules for approval by project teams.
- Collect and update data to support project labor hour forecasts.
- Create client and internal status reports that effectively communicate cost status and trends. Identify potential corrective actions for implementation.
- Create and submit monthly invoice timely to maintain healthy cashflow through the project life cycle.
- Travel: The individual in this role should be able and willing to travel as required by E2.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required
- BA/BS in construction management, finance, engineering or equivalent, preferred
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in construction and project planning for multi-project construction programs.
- Experience in construction specifications, construction drawings and other project documentation including RFIs, submittals, payment applications and change orders.
- Experience with Primavera P6, MS Excel, PowerPoint.
- Experience with cost control tooling (such as eBuilder, Procore, or others).
- Experience communicating financial status and schedule details from multiple construction sites to project managers
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Decision Making and Judgment: The position involves projects and/or assignments requiring considerable decision-making authority regarding procedures, plans and schedules. Must be proficient in problem solving and root cause analysis to determine best feasible solutions.
- Ability to support the Project Manager and Sr. Project Manager in leading, developing and managing field employees.
- Knowledge of structured cabling industry including technology, quality and safety standards.
- Organizational, record-keeping and follow-up skills.
- Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients and other departments.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, including excellent customer service skills.
- Must be able to learn and support new and quickly evolving technologies.
- Ability to research information and identify solutions regarding technical issues.
- Good work habits under pressure, flexible during times of change.
- Ability to work within deadlines while maintaining high work quality including ability to prioritize work deliverables and multi-task.
- Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance.
- Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position.
- Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The standard work environment for this position is an indoors business office and construction environment. Ability to use a computer and/or hand tools while sitting or standing for extended periods of time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.Β The employee must demonstrate regular and on-time attendance. There could be a requirement of occasional travel by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicle and the like within the region and to other locations as required. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
