Job Responsibilities

Summary

TheJuniorProject Managerresponsibilities include understanding and grasping key concepts essential to become a successful Project Manager. Exhibit ability to define and communicate clear project deliverables and performance targets. Eventually you will manage all aspects of customer relationships and ensure overall satisfaction to the contractual deliverable. Additionally, you will manage all aspects of the programs to meet profitability and financial targets, delivering products and services in line with customer needs, and within timing expectations, and the long-term success of the organization.

This is a 3-year development program that is mentored by a Program Manager and sponsored by a Platform Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand and utilize the tools developed by the organization for effective project management. Avoid all use of custom tools unless it supports a permanent organization document change request for improvement.
  • Identify risk and opportunities, and develop executable risk mitigation and ability to realize opportunities.
  • Properly apply technologies for comprehensive cost effective system solutions.
  • Evaluate and completely understand contractual deliverable, in content and contractual obligations.
  • Formulate a detailed execution-timing plan. Including critical path timing, mitigation timing plans, resource pipelining considerations, and constant updating, improvement, and follow-up.
  • Initiate and maintain customer product communication log
  • Maintain timely budget updates based on content change backlog scope of work (SoW) changes, and or optimizing project execution improvements.
  • Monitor and control cost on projects, related to labor and purchasing costs
  • Manage changes to scope through the Change management system
  • Work with department managers to develop execution plans.
  • Establish objectives for projects and performance goals for key project members
  • Monitor project activities for compliance to all company policies and processes including complete adherence to Sarbanes Oxley accounting and procurement policies.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Engineering

Skills Abilities

Display high motivation and desire to be in project management.

Flexible regarding travel, may have to travel based on project priorities and customer / supplier locations.

Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Power Point) - Required
