Junior Project Manager

As a Technology Project Manager I you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of projects within our organization. This role requires a dynamic individual with 1-2 years of experience in project management, particularly in the technology sector. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Planning: Through adhering to process, collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets. Use these to effectively plan sprints and milestones.
• Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively to ensure timely project delivery. Coordinate with department heads to assign tasks and responsibilities.
• Risk Management: Monitor task completion status. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively communicate and address issues that may impact project timelines or resources.
• Communication: Facilitate communication and meetings between teams to ensure timeliness of deliverables. Provide regular project updates and reports.
• Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance processes to ensure that project deliverables meet established standards and requirements.
• Change Management: Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs. Evaluate the impact of changes, adjust project plans accordingly and communicate these to stakeholders.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Solicit feedback and incorporate input to ensure project success.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including meeting minutes, project plans, status reports, and issue logs.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and best practices. Implement strategies to enhance project management efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in project management, preferably in the technology sector.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
• Effective communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Agile project management methodologies
• Proficiency in project management software such as Atlassian / Jira
• Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
