ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Junior Project Sales Manager, you will provide support for managing the sales order process from initial quoting to final assembly. Your primary focus will be to assist in the daily management of customer pricing requests, serving as support for pre-production meetings and sales work order processing. You will work with Project Sales Managers to translate quotes to meeting notes.
- Prepare Customer Price Quotes: Analyze specifications and customer requirements to create accurate and competitive price quotes.
- Collaborate with Suppliers: Work closely with suppliers to gather up to date pricing information, supporting the preparation of customer price quotes and RFP cost proposals.
- Sales Work Orders: Load preliminary meeting notes.
- Assist with Pre-Production Meetings: Participate in pre-production meetings with customers, educating and driving specifications towards GILLIG standards while ensuring customer requirements are met.
- Facility Tours: Conduct engaging production plant tours, building strong relationships, and fostering a positive customer experience.
- Provide Technical support for external customers and Regional Sales Managers.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- College Degree preferred.
- 2+ years of automotive or similar industry manufacturing experience.
- Ability to understand and interpret bills of material, engineering drawings, customer specifications and requirements.
- Must be organized, accurate, and have the aptitude to manage, communicate, prioritize, and complete multiple tasks on-time and within budget.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Customer focused attitude with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
- Proficient In Adept, BuyDesign, Syteline, MS Office Suite, and Salesforce.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk and occasionally kneel or squat
- Occasional visits to onsite manufacturing floor with exposure to noise levels and outside temperatures
- Scope of responsibilities may necessitate evening or weekend work based on workload productivity
- Standard start time: 7:00 AM (negotiable)
- Fast paced with tight timelines
EXPECTED COMPENSATION
$75,000 - $275,000 /annual salary + premium benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job classification, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment.
