About the team:

FIS Front Arena is a leading global provider of financial software. We build systems for financial trading, risk management and position control. Our systems enable banks, hedge funds and other financial institutions to make critical decisions with confidence, execute their orders and follow up their positions. Independent of what asset class being traded: whether it is stock, commodities, rates or currencies; or whether it’s done through an exchange or over the counter, we’ve got it covered. But that’s just part of it. We support the whole process from sell-side to buy-side, front-to-back.

As a developer in our functional development team you will be challenged with a wide range of tasks, ranging from design, development and maintenance of our solution in PRIME, one of the client applications for financial trading in Front Arena. The Prime OMS team works on a range of functionality including:

• Buy-side Order Management System

• Portfolio Trading

• Compliance Rules

• Credit Limits

• Reconciliation

• Post-trade processing

• Cross-product integrations

• Business Data Export – integrations with Fund Admins and Prime Brokers

What you will be doing:

• Develop domain knowledge to enhance our product solution

• Write Python, C++ and ADFL code to satisfy the requirements defined by the Product Owner.

• Use TDD

• Contribute in sprint planning meetings, including task estimation

• Interact with other developers, product owners, functional analysts and other teams to ensure delivery of a sound solution

• Present your functional increments to Product Owners during sprint demos

• Contribute to backlog review meetings

What you bring:

• BS or MS in computer science or related field

• 1+ years of experience in software development in Python

• Relational database experience

• A great interest in developing sustainable solutions with focus on quality and performance

• Fluent in English

Added bonus if you have:

• Knowledge of C++ is a big plus

• Relevant experience in Finance, Banking, Hedge Funds, or Accounting - experience developing software for any industry with a challenging business domain is a plus

• Experience using the Microsoft technology stack (Visual Studio, SQL Server etc.)

• Experience in agile methodologies and software test automation
