SUMMARY

We are looking for an amazing Junior QA Engineer to extend our capabilities in delivering rich and engaging user experiences.

ABOUT US

Storyteller is a new B2B SaaS platform, which allows companies to integrate Stories into their owned and operated platforms. Popularized by Instagram and Snapchat, Stories are perfectly suited for boosting user engagement, audience retention, and driving advertising revenue. For customers, building their own stories experience can take years and a lot of investment however Storyteller has solved this by allowing companies to integrate in days, not years all for one monthly cost. Our end‑to‑end platform gives companies a best‑in‑class Stories experience in days with native iOS, Android, and Web SDKs, publishing tools, analytics, and ad support. 

We work with globally-recognised clients in US TV and Sports industries. Every day we produce work that is innovative, challenging, and enjoyed by millions of people! 

RESPONSIBILITIES

What can you expect?
  • Performing manual tests
  • Planning and executing test cases and test plans
  • Communicate urgent bugs, issues, and improvements to the development team
  • Incorporating best practices of QA processes to match our (impressive ;) project delivery pace
  • Spotting things that others miss and analysing problems to reach the root cause 
      
Eventually, we'd like you to: 
  • Spread the knowledge and enthusiasm of Quality Assurance techniques with your dev team
  • Work with developers to improve our Continuous Integration 

QUALIFICATIONS

What's important to us
  • Understanding of software testing methodologies for Web and Mobile applications
  • API testing abilities. Familiarity with Postman, REST API and HTTP
  • Experience with a test management tool like TestRail or similar
  • Strong interest in the latest mobile trends and techs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work closely with others
  • Excellent analytical skills. You know how to prioritize and have a keen eye for detail and high quality
  • Proactive mindset. Your curiosity, resourcefulness and ability to work independently help drive us on 

What’s nice to have:
  • An ISEB or ISTQB certification
  • Coding proficiency in one or more languages, preferably Javascript 
  • Source code control and build tools, solid understanding of software design patterns 
  • A degree in IT, Electronics, Computing, Physics or related discipline 
  • An active Github profile with involvement in open source projects
  • Experience with Web automation tools (Cypress or any JS automation framework) is a big plus
  • Experience with cloud hosting and CI platforms, preferably Azure DevOps
  • Web debugging proxy tool expertise. Preferred experience with Charles, Proxyman or other HTTP debugging proxy server applications.

Up to 30k EUR per year (or local currency equivalent) full-time contractor contract, depending on experience and skills

RECRUITMENT PROCESS

Firstly, you will be asked to complete an online video which will involve answering a mixture of questions. 

If the interview goes well, we will invite you to a second step – a 60-minute technical call via MS Teams with Latif, QA Team Leas and another colleague from team. 

The final interview (30 minutes, MS Teams) is with Dave, our Chief Technical Officer and Latif – it’s a mix of technical and culture-fit questions.
