Project Background:

 Our DHS client requires SharePoint and Office 365 technical and program support that leverages people’s knowledge, processes, and technology tools to increase the competencies of existing employees, minimize the impact of employee turnover, allow for flexibility in response to urgent needs and deal effectively with change. The objective is to provide a plan to get the largest possible number of client personnel to align themselves with the Knowledge Management (KM) effort, ensuring that as the KM platform is built within SharePoint, it is fed by as many sources as possible. In order to successfully deliver technology enhancements to meet the needs of its mission, the client requires contractor support to enhance on-going activities and identify innovative technology and business process improvements to impact its service delivery.

Role Description:

The Junior SharePoint Developer will be working within a team of senior SharePoint Developers in the following areas.  This is a great learning opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable SharePoint and Office 365 experience and skills!

• Develop solutions for SharePoint enterprise collaboration sites
• Work with Business Analyst and SharePoint Architecture to understand and develop SharePoint site for FBD client.
• Using functional requirements, create design documents and implement.
• Assist Architecture to identify best-fit technical solutions and provide options for a SharePoint model (framework) that supports their need
• Assist Architecture to design, build, test, and deploy solution configurations on the SharePoint platform. 
• Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Assist with conceptual design, prototype, and test cycles.
• Validate system elements and requirements.
• Identify dependencies with other systems and elements of the IT infrastructure.
• Work with project personnel to resolve schedule problems and ensure developed applications and systems are transitioned to customers in a timely manner.
• Ensure all products and administrative documentation is completed and maintained in order to ensure continuity and historical reference.
• Ensure deliverables meet all relevant quality and security standards/documentation.

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

• BA of BS degree required.
• 1 year of SharePoint experience
• Experience using Microsoft Office 365
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to convey technical information to non-technical individuals.

• MS SharePoint administration skills
• Create and configure lists
• Create and configure libraries
• Integrate capabilities from other 365 applications, especially Power Automate

 Clearance Requirements:

• US Citizenship required
