Junior Software Engineer (Hybrid-Flexible Options)

Broadridge is hiring! We're seeking an entry level Engineer who can provide detailed analysis and insightful support for the development of engineering projects in our Revenue Management and Billing systems portfolio. Skilled at developing engineering plans and producing quality code. Complete troubleshooting and diagnostics on the existing systems components. Participate in the new design and solutioning for a next generation technology platform.

We are made up of high performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is considered hybrid, which means you'll be assigned to a Broadridge office and given the flexibility to work remote.

Responsibilities:

• Develops, tests, debugs and implements code for existing and/or new applications and/or systems.
• Responsible for the analysis of project requirements and the development of technical specifications.
• Performs unit and systems testing of applications/solutions.
• Works with users and QA to perform Quality Assurance testing of applications and resolves all reported defects/issues.
• Uses product specifications to create system documentation and train the end user as required.
• Responsible for all procedural and code documentation on assigned projects.
• Has experience with all phases of application programming.
• Demonstrates knowledge in the software implementation lifecycle and specific programming languages.

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with AIX or Unix operating system, or the desire to learn
• Troubleshooting and diagnostics
• System design
• Problem solving
• Dependable
• C/C++ would be helpful. Even at an entry level. Being able to read the code would be helpful in the event we need to reverse engineer anything
• WinSCP
• Putty
• Basic Unix
• Some knowledge of billing/finance terms/systems
• Open VMS/VAX experience, a "nice to have"
