We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivatedJunior Staff Accountantwith a focus onAccounts Payableto join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who is looking to build an experience in a fast-paced and supportive environment. The Junior Staff Accountant will play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate payment processing, while also supporting general accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
β Manage the full A/P cycle, including vendor invoice processing, coding, and timely payment.
β Perform three-way matching of purchase orders, packing slips/receipts, and invoices
β Code expenses to the appropriate general ledger accounts
β Maintain and update vendor records; respond to inquiries and resolve discrepancies
β Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
β Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal staff to resolve invoice discrepancies
β Complete weekly check runs and Wire/ACH payments
β Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
β Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
β Assist with the preparation and entry of journal entries
β Provide documentation and support during audits
β Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate and complete financial data.
β Perform other duties or special projects as assigned by the Accounting Manager
Qualifications:
β Bachelorβs degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
β 1β2 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting preferred
β Proficiency inQuickBooks Onlinerequired
βCashProand CheckPositive Paypreferred
β High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
β Strong Excel and data entry skills
β Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks
β Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
β Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
β A positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the role
