Junior Systems Administrator

Job Description

BITCO Corporation is currently seeking a Junior Systems Administrator to join our Home Office team in Davenport, IA. BITCO provides quality insurance services to special industries including construction, forest products, and oil gas. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.

Position Summary:

As part of the IT Operations team, this position, installs, configures, maintains, and repairs servers, systems, and subsystems.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintain computer systems to ensure effective and efficiently running of BITCO business operations
• Administration of systems and server subsystems to ensure availability of services to authorized users
• Coordinates maintenance, repairs, and changes in accordance with change management policies and communicates expected changes clearly to the Company
• Monitors system performance and tests system configuration regularly to ensure continuous operations
• Documents server systems design and configuration
• Supports Office 365/Exchange Environment
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience. Degrees in computer science or computer engineering preferred
• At least one year of experience with the following:
  • Microsoft Active Directory
  • Understanding PAM, End Point Management, IAM System and disk encryption tools
  • Utilizing PowerShell, Bicep, Terraform, Python
  • Content Management Systems
  • Monitoring and Analytics tools
  • Virtual Infrastructure

• Knowledge and basic understanding of the following:
  • Windows systems administration
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Systems and Infrastructure Security

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
