Junior Systems Engineer
Job Description
LS Technologies, LLC is seeking a highly motivated, energetic, results-oriented Systems Engineer. A successful candidate will have familiarity with the FAA National Airspace System (NAS). S/he will provide requirements management and enterprise architecture support at the enterprise-level and coordinate with programs to achieve milestone decisions throughout the Acquisition Management System (AMS) process.
Responsibilities:
- Manage individual tasks and activities to meet deadlines
- Develop working relationships with engineers and analysts from multiple organizations to help them achieve AMS milestone decisions (CRDR, IARD, IID, FID)
- Develop and update requirements and enterprise architecture to accurately reflect enterprise capabilities and programs
- Coordinate with implementing programs on their development of systems engineering products for AMS milestones (Concept of Operations (ConOps), Functional Analysis Documents, Requirements Documents, business process models, and NAS enterprise architecture artifacts)
- Conduct thorough reviews of systems engineering products and provide feedback in a timely manner
- Implement requirements processes to include analysis, process setup and improvement, change administration, and tracking
- Support requirements management efforts using the Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) tool including importing and linking requirements
- Support DOORS Systems Administrator to control user access rights, privileges, link modules, and administer changes, to include routine maintenance of the DOORS database
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems engineering
- Must have FAA experience
- Familiarity with FAA systems engineering documentation
- Proven interpersonal skills to coordinate with project team
- Excellent writing, oral communication, and organizational skills
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, advanced degree preferred
- Training in EA and requirements management tools (e.g. System Architect, DOORS) preferred
