Junior Test Engineer

Company Description

We are looking for a Junior Test Engineer to run tests on complex software solutions, following our existing testing process. 

PROJECT

Our client develops web and mobile applications for digitizing and automating document management in the Swedish public sector. Their platforms serve both citizens and politicians. 

The project team focuses on building new modules and improving existing features while following industry best practices. 

Job Description

• Execute test cases and document test results for web and mobile applications 
• Collaborate with the development team to understand and clarify the requirements and system functionality 
• Create and maintain test cases, scenarios, and checklists for system functionality 
• Provide regular and accurate updates on testing progress status, including completed test cases, bugs found, and any blockers encountered 
• Assist in the preparation of test summary reports and provide clear, concise documentation of test results 
• Actively participate in team meetings, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospective sessions, etc. 
• Contribute to the improvement of testing processes and methodologies, suggesting ideas for efficiency 

Qualifications

• Understanding of different types of testing (functional, performance, etc.) and their application 
• Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies 
• Familiarity with bug tracking systems and test management tools like Jira or similar 
• Good knowledge of test design techniques and the ability to create comprehensive test documentation (test cases, checklists, etc.) 
• Good analytical skills and attention to detail 
• Willingness to learn and grow within the field of software testing 
• Good communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional team 
• At least an Intermediate level of English

WOULD BE A PLUS

• Knowledge of accessibility testing and WCAG 2.1 AA 
• Basic knowledge of databases and SQL 
• Experience with ALM tools like Azure DevOps
