Junior Web Engineer - Old School RuneScape

As a Junior Web Engineer you will enable our players to access and engage with our games and experiences through online services. Refine and maintain live Jagex infrastructure, internal tools and development of new software and features.

Being a Junior Engineer at Jagex means you will have support and guidance from some of the best in the industry, providing you with the skills and expertise you will need to take your career to the next level.

What you'll be doing:

• Develop new features and functionalities for our web applications
• Work as part of a team to maintain and support web experiences for players
• Constantly look for new opportunities to improve our player experience
• Closely working with QA to ensure high quality of releases
• Provide on-call support for our key systems allowing our players to be able to play and pay our products always.

What you'll need:

• A passion for web engineering, backend, and frontend.
• Interest in Typescript, Go and Java web development, cloud computing services (especially AWS Microservices)
• The ability to work to agreed project milestones and timelines.
• An analytical mindset with a comprehensive understanding of the tech stack.
• Understands and practices agile software development and management
• Willingness to learn and develop your skillset
