Junior welder

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Junior Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in various welding techniques and fabrication processes, along with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role is essential in supporting our manufacturing operations and ensuring high-quality production standards. Duties • Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW, and Stick welding on various materials including sheet metal and ductwork. • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to fabricate components according to specifications. • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements. • Conduct assembly tasks as part of the production process. • Operate machinery such as press brake machines and plasma cutters safely and effectively. • Follow ASME codes & standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations. • Assist in rigging and pipe threading as needed for project completion. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols. • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards. Experience • Previous construction site experience is preferred. • Familiarity with welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, and Stick welding. • Knowledge of mechanical principles and basic math skills for precise measurements. • Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools for quality assurance. • Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is a plus. • Understanding of machining processes is beneficial. • Experience with soldering, fabrication, assembly, and ductwork installation is an advantage.
