JWS Staff Engineer 1
Job Description
The Staff Engineering position holds the responsibility of being the database support lead for JPC Working Groups; to include design, development, version control, deployment, and maintenance of multiple databases systems for future implementation into JWS. The database archives range in collateral damage input and output data, blast data, weapons managements systems, fragmentation data and target tracking data. Additionally, prepare queries, forms, and reports to assist in the automation of data processing.

Required Skills:
- Interface with government personnel and JMEM intra-organizational staff
- Must be able to work well within a team environment and able to adapt quickly to change.
- Understand object-oriented programming.
- Extensive use of Microsoft Access
Job duties include:
- Conduct analysis of new and existing targets on JTCG/ME products using the Effects Analysis Tool, comparing new targets in development to similar existing targets in JWS
- Perform data validation, testing, and integration of weapon effectiveness and target vulnerability data.
- Troubleshoot and analyze weapons effects and target vulnerability data trends in JWS.
- Respond to requests for target data.
- Support other team members' tasks
- Coordinating between remotely located analysts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Physics, Math, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 2-4 Years of related experience with weaponeering and targeteering.
- US Citizen, able to receive and maintain DoD Security Clearance
Additional Consideration for:
- Experience related to JMEM, air-to-surface or surface-to-surface weapons, weaponeering, weapon systems effectiveness methodologies, and associated munition/target data is highly desirable to provide a better understanding in weapon/target effectiveness, stochastic modeling, weapon blast effects, and vulnerability analysis in order to better serve the war fighter.
