Requirements

The role 

We are looking for sales athletes who are hungry, nimble, intelligent, and passionate about EdTech and K-12. As the K-12 Sales Director on the Education Sales Team you will identify, source and close good-fit prospects. Using strong consultative selling skills, you will balance contacting warm inbound leads, identifying targets for the sales development team, and driving self-sourced leads for your pipeline.

 

The day-to-day

  • Position the value of Kaltura’s software to K-12 prospects
  • Provide value-added counsel to customers as a trusted advisor creating awareness and demand for Kaltura products
  • Manage a pipeline of inbound, SDR and self-sourced leads to identify, engage and develop relationships with potential buyers
  • Lead, negotiate and close sales with new customers
  • Forecast sales activity and revenue achievement while creating satisfied customers
  • Consistently meet and exceed sales quotas within specified time frame
  • Bring your ideas and strategies to advance our company’s values, unique culture, and vision for the future
  • Partner with marketing and technology departments to execute sales strategies as the company introduces enhancements to existing solutions and/or releases new products
  • Keep informed of product line, competition and industry trends that may impact client business activities

Ideally, we’re looking for:

  • Knowledge of education markets and procurement processes, ideal candidate will have rolodex of K-12 accounts
  • A proven sales hunter and closer with a passion for prospecting new business from initial outreach to negotiation to close
  • Skilled in building business champions and running a complex sales process
  • Have the desire and commitment to do what it takes to be successful in sales
  • 5+ years K-12 EdTech selling experience
  • 5+ years SaaS sales experience
  • Have a sharp focus on their goals and a belief that their daily, weekly, and monthly activities will help achieve them
  • A quantifiable track record of meeting/exceeding quotas
  • A team player and a self-starter
  • BA/BS preferred or equivalent work experience with demonstrated proficiency
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%
