Function:

To support or operate designated machine to meet customer specifications.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

1. Must be able to read patterns and blueprints.

2. Intermediate knowledge of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments. Instruments should include but not limited to calipers, protractors and tape measures.

3. Prepares and stages glass for the Special Fabrication process the employee is assigned.

4. Knowledge of operating and maintaining machines including daily / weekly TPM’s

5. Performs duties in a safe manner using all approved safety equipment as instructed.

6. Performs duties in accordance with the Business Process Documentation.

7. Participates in Viracon’s Continuous Improvement efforts by understanding his/her team’s performance and actively implementing and supporting process improvements.

Additional Job Responsibilities:

1. Maintains a neat and orderly work area throughout the workday.

2. May help other Production areas when necessary.

3. Maintains a stock of equipment to perform task

4. Maintains an effective working relationship with all department employees.

5. Performs duties in accordance with business process documentation.

6. Detects equipment malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjusts machine, within capabilities or controls as required to ensure quality of production. Reports all machine malfunctions to Supervisor / Lead.

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent GED preferred but not required.

2. Ability to read and understand work instructions. (English)

3. Mathematical skills as related to measurements.

4. Familiar with operating power tools

5. Ability to take supervision.

6. Ability to communicate effectively and work as a team member.

7. Must be able to safely perform essential job responsibilities.

8. Regular full-time attendance.

9. Promotes Viracon in a positive manner and obeys all polices.
