Plans, sells, promotes and supports sales of company products to current and potential customers as assigned by, and under the supervision of, the MS Sales Manager, thereby achieving optimum sales, consistent Margins and policy, plans and strategy.

  • Travels when required, throughout assigned territories to call on existing and prospective customers to promote Donaldson products and to generate sales and develop new business.
  • Maintains a consistent customer call routine, working with CRM and updating as required and agreed by the MS Sales Manager. USE the MS Global sales process and adhere to the guidelines of the Global MS VP.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with key MS, OEM partner personnel to ensure effective communication and good relationship management.
  • Effectively communicates new product releases and new product/application opportunities to MS partners.
  • Works with MS, OEM partners to establish sales forecasts and lock in forward ordering where appropriate. Liaises with Product Department and Inventory/Production Planning personnel to ensure forecasts are accurately communicated and implemented.
  • Works closely with APAC product management team, as well as global counterparts when quoting and releasing new parts to ensure margin targets are achieved whilst adhering to global pricing expectations.
  • Ensures that new part enquires, and introductions are managed correctly through the Accelerated Product Development (APD) process.
  • Represents DAPL on Global MS customer account teleconference calls and participates in global customer planning and workgroups as directed by the MS Sales Manager.
  • Maintains customer contact database in CRM, ensuring that all changes to customer details are kept up to date.
  • Investigates and resolves where possible customer problems and queries relating to product quality, delivery and order fulfillment. Working on contract pricing and working with the Sales manager on Margin improvement.
  • Represents Donaldson at trade shows and partner events, as required from time to time.
  • Provides market intelligent information and monitors competitor activities.
