Job Description

The Consumer Content Specialist is primarily responsible for managing the knowledge repository systems for the Consumer Banking division of BOK Financial. This includes developing, sourcing, editing, reviewing and maintaining the site content to support the daily operations and documentation of the Consumer Banking & Mortgage division. This position is responsible for working with subject matter experts across the organization, compliance, audit, and fair banking to interpret business-driven and regulatory changes. This position also works closely with learning and development, senior management, middle management, operations, front-line staff and vendors to improve knowledge repository functionality.

How You'll Spend Your Time

  • You will create and maintain a robust repository system full of information for our Consumer employees
  • You will work closely with Subject Matter Experts and Leadership to determine needs and direction within the system.
  • You will ensure accuracy and pertinence of existing information on a regular basis.
  • You will be providing tools and updates that help make others' jobs easier and more efficient.
  • You will utilize your project management skills to outline the plans for the repository and its growth and structure.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Marketing Communications, Technical Writing or a related field with 2 - 5 years of relevant experience in developing/managing site content, or 5 - 7 years of equivalent experience. Work experience in a financial institution or thorough understanding of financial products and services preferred.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Existing knowledge of products, services, policies, procedures, processes and applicable regulations
  • Knowledge of technical copywriting and editing, especially for Web publication
  • Strong ability to consolidate significant amounts of information into a usable format and communicate complicated concepts and technical data in simple terms
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within cross-departmental teams
  • Detail-oriented in process and in results
  • Advanced knowledge of HTML, content management systems (CMS), or knowledge management systems (KMS) preferred
  • Familiarity with supporting software applications (e.g., ServiceNow, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Experience with content management, writing and editing, and utilizing web tools to distribute information.
  • Strong organization and planning skills
  • Understanding of reporting including the ability to create written or verbal communications on report content, ability to create strategies and action plans based on identified trends
