Legal VicePresidency. Inthe context of the World Bank's broad development agenda, the Legal VicePresidency (LEG), under the Senior Vice President and Group General Counsel(SVP-GC), is responsible for providing legal advice and support to internal andexternal Bank clients on operational, advisory, financial, administration, andinstitutional matters.
LEG Knowledge andLearning Practice Group. The LEG Knowledge and Learning Practice group (LEGKL) serves as a knowledgecenter within the Legal VPU, leveraging partnerships inside and outside theWorld Bank to promote cross learning among practitioners to respond to clientneeds. The Knowledge and Learning Practice Group reportsadministratively to the Chief Counsel LEGOP but works on a daily basis underthe supervision of the Lead Counsel, Global Knowledge and research. LEGKL contributes to the World Bank's knowledgeagenda through the following contributions:
-Generation of the Legal VPUs' own knowledge products.
-Overseeing LEG VPU databases and knowledge sources.
-Organization of a wide range of international events such as the annualLaw, Justice and Development Week.
- Contribution to the development of Bankproducts.
- Implementation of the Global Forum on Law,Justice and Development.
-Support the World Bank Group Law Resource Center including the LawLibrary, the Legal Records and the Legal Help Desk.
-Support to the LEG VPU Legal Internship Program
Roles and Responsibilities:
The Knowledge Management Analyst will be a member of the Knowledge and LearningPractice Group (LEGKL) in the Legal VPU and perform the below duties andresponsibilities:
Dutiesand Responsibilities:
Implementation, Expansion and Adoption of eSignatures (DocuSign)in LEG.
• Support DocuSign Implementation in LEG by actively participating andcontributing to the implementation of eSignatures in legal agreements throughthe DocuSign platform.
• Support activities related to the communication, updates, training, websitecontent management, administration of DocuSign Senders and Template creatorsfor LEG
• Identify and flag product design and feature requests to ITS for furtherimprovements and enhancements by DocuSign
• Identify bottle necks and offer optimal solutions working closely with ITSDocuSign support team.
• Support the adoption and use of DocuSign by WB External Partners
• Participate in the discussions with WB External Partners and provideinformation and guidance on the technical requirements, capabilities andfunctionalities of DocuSign.
• When needed, assist external Signers with the 'Print and Sign' and upload themanually counter-signed agreement into DocuSign in order to return it to theWorld Bank.
Assistwith the Global Forum for Law Justice and Development (GFLJD) and the LawJustice & Development Week (LJD Week) events
• Assist in the organization of the Law, Justice and Development (LJD) Weekevents.
• Assist the Global Forum for Law Justice andDevelopment (GFLJD) Secretariat, including its Working Groups, in the implementationof the work program.
• Assist with thedevelopment and implementation of knowledge, strategy and research agenda ofthe LEGVP.
• Work on the access to development information and datagenerated within LEGVP.
• Maintain a user-friendly, accurate, and up-to-date LEGVP online platformthrough constant review and intermittent postings.
• Provide research assistance and analysis on multifarious issues, on needbasis
• Support ongoing relationships and dialogue with various national courtsystems post-LJD Week
• Support the generation and maintenance of cutting-edge knowledge and accessto global expertise through diverse knowledge management products, databases,and activities
CoordinateLEGVPU Internship Program.
• Serve as a secretariat for the Legal Internship Selection Committee byworking with members of the committee and LEG Management to select internships.
• Relationship management and building with universities around the world toensure a robust pipeline of applicants for the internship program.
• Work with the LEG Management team to develop substantive work programs forincoming interns.
• Lead demand and resource analysis on the creation of a possible fellowshipprogram for LEG.
Stakeholder Engagement:
• Help build and maintain relationships with key stakeholdersacross LEG and WBG by sharing knowledge and useful tools for greatercollaboration and coordination.
• Assist in coordinating communications and knowledge flowacross various communities of practice and knowledge networks in WBG incollaboration with the Lead Counsel, Global Knowledge and Research.
Conductother ad hoc assignments as needed and requested for LEGKL and LEGVPU.
Selection Criteria
• Master's degreewith 5 years relevant experience or Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 yearsof relevant experience.
• Strong project management skills
• Demonstrated focus on client-service and ability to build relationships bothinternally and externally.
• Ability to structure and prioritize requirements to allow iterativeimplementation.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills and a keen sense ofpriorities.
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills in operating collaborativelyacross organizational boundaries.
• Proven ability to coordinate and develop partnerships with colleagues andclients.
• Attention to detail and very high-quality standards and principles.
