Job Description

We're looking for a Kotlin Developer for a media company. Team works in Agile environment. 

Responsibilities

• Ensure that the systems currently supporting the Dutch market can also accommodate the unique requirements of the Belgian market.
• Work with the latest technologies, such as serverless architectures and cloud-based solutions, to design and implement solutions.
• Continuously develop and deploy new code to production in an Agile environment.
• Adopt a "you build it, you run it" approach, meaning the team takes full ownership of delivering well-functioning software and maintaining it.
• Constantly improve our services to enhance their robustness, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with your teammates to define the software architecture of the services.
• Share knowledge with fellow backend developers to ensure the platform's ongoing evolution.
• You are an independent, self-driven, and quick-learning backend developer, experienced in working in complex environments. You enjoy working in a team with colleagues who are passionate about delivering high-quality products.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience on a similar role with Kotlin & Spring Boot - in development and maintenance;
• Good experience with AWS cloud environments (such as SNS, SQS, API Gateway);
• Experience in Security; 
• You strive to deploy using Infrastructure as Code (we use AWS CDK);
• Develop and design RESTful services and APIs;
• Experience with service-oriented architecture and design;
• Used to working with modern, highly automated CI/CD processes and methods;
• English working proficiency (B2+/C1 level).

Nice to have

• Experience with building highly secure and/or highly available systems;
• Experience with Akamai;
• AWS Certifications.

Additional Information

• Work model: Remote based in Poland (possible travelling once per quarter);
• Contract: B2B;
• Start: ASAP;
• Rate: up to 180 PLN/h net + vat;
• Project length: 1 year + possible extension.
