Laboratory Assistant - PM Shift

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Builds and/or adapts basic setup and test equipment for performance of tests.
• Performs tests using general laboratory equipment.
• Performs routine care of designated test equipment and work area.
• Operates computer terminal to extract/input readily available information and to use available software.
• As directed follows defined test plans and datasheets.
• Evaluates test performance and sample operation to properly evaluate test results.
• Records and explains test results.
• Reads and interprets results of tests.
• Prepares charts, graphs and reports to explain test results.
• Examines test samples, reads measuring instruments and reviews test data with supervisor.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams and operational instructions.
• As instructed examines customer samples and learns to operate basic tests for each case.
• Communicates with customers during setup and operation to ensure proper evaluation.
• Operates designated laboratory equipment and tools as directed.
• Receives instructions from and reports data to engineers and other laboratory technician staff.
• Records observed or calculated data on appropriate data sheets.
• Develops working knowledge of the job, methods, instrumentation and systems.
• Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.
• Read and follow the UL Solutions Code of Conduct and follows all physical and digital security practices.
• Performs other duties as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma required.
• Effective communication skills and ability to interact with customers required.
• Most possesses a desire to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office suite and general computer proficiency is required.
• Ability to work onsite in Rogers, AR from 2p-10:30p Monday through Friday is required.
