Position Overview:
As part of the talented team, you will Provide industry leading technical and consumer support for vessel owners, operators, sales and service dealers, and boat builders utilizing Mercury Marine’s state of the art 600 and 500 HP V12 Verado outboard, MerCruiser, and large vessel propulsion systems

- Provide unparalleled consumer and technical support for Mercury Marine’s 600 and 500 HP V12 Verado Outboard, MerCruiser, and large vessel propulsion systems
- Follow through and take ownership in resolving product issues
- Exercise independent judgement fairly and consistently with minimal oversight
- Maintain detailed, accurate, and current records
- Respond promptly to inbound customer contacts from multiple channels
- Approve or deny claims as appropriate
- Evaluate product failures to ensure consistency in warranty and customer relations adjustments
- Support field personnel
- Travel to resolve field issues as needed
- Collaborate with the Service Product Management team to communicate product related issues to engineering, field service, and leadership teams
- Act as an instructor for in-house training as needed
- Participate in special and ad hoc projects as needed
Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way. Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of Technical College preferred
- Two to four years technical experience in the marine industry or related field
- Experience servicing Mercury products
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of basic engine mechanical and control systems
- Working knowledge of Mercury Marine’s Joystick Piloting and SmartCraft systems
- Working knowledge of Mercury Marine policies and procedures
- Must consistently exercise discretion and sound judgment in resolving issues of significance to Mercury Marine
- Must be able to manage and resolve complex issues to the satisfaction of multiple parties
- Must develop creative ways to address and resolve internal and external issues
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must maintain respectful and professional interaction with various personality types in complex, potentially escalated, situations
- Must recognize, document and communicate emerging product issues to engineering and service product management teams for review and possible action
- Must take ownership of projects and drive to completion
- Strong computer skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Must thrive in a fast paced, high pressure environment with little direct oversight
- Strong work ethic
- Strong desire to learn and improve
