Layout Engineer
RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop assembly line layouts.
• Station level detail verifying operator interface with all equipment.
• Manage master layout showing all conveyor & tooling equipment.
• Interface with all team members throughout layout development process.
• Attend virtual team meetings during development process
• Ensure alignment between process documents and layout.
• Understand material interface between operator and container.
• Develop construction drawings for change over process.
• Remote work environment

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Three (3) plus years’ manufacturing experience is preferred.
• 2+ years in pursuit of degree preferred.
• Bid package development knowledge.
• Conveyor knowledge is preferred.
• Conveyor system design layout (AutoCAD 2D).

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Microsoft Office skills required.
• A great amount of AutoCAD experience required.
• Key skill with CAD is designing work stations in the automotive production. 
• Teamcenter/NX experience preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to, sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.

FLSA STATUS/ WORKING SCHEDULE:

• Location: Detroit, MI working 50% remote, 100% remote can be discussed
• Type: Full time
• Start Date: ASAP
