Primary Function Overview:
Eaton's Crouse Hinds, B-Line, Oil & Gas team has an exciting opportunity for Lead Accountant, reporting to the Global Accounting Manager and working with financial locations domestically and internationally. This role is responsible for a variety of specialized accounting functions with a primary focus on reporting the divisional financial results and development of financial guidelines, with reporting and analysis provided directly to senior management of the Group.
The position requires a high level of detailed analysis in a complex organization, and the ability to be highly responsive and accurate. With the opportunity to interact with a wide range Eaton, strong interpersonal skills to be able to communicate complex issues clearly, and ability to work independently to use judgement in how to handle daily issues are required to provide support.
In this function you will:
- Identify and resolve financial accounting issues or areas for improvement. This includes the ability to assess when an issue should be raised to the Accounting Manager.
- Help to ensure the accurate and timely consolidation and reporting of financial results and position each month end.
- Independently prepare quarterly and annual reporting packages to Corporate Eaton Headquarters, which support disclosures within SEC Form 10-Q and 10-K, as well as other governmental reporting.
- Monitor that intracompany and intercompany issues are identified and resolved timely. This involves analyzing and communicating differences with respective ledger contacts and with GFSS.
- Implement and monitor controls, process improvement, and procedure development and enforcement on an ongoing basis, in conjunction with the Accounting Manager
- Prepare and post assigned monthly journal entries and ad-hoc entries as required.
- Prepare assigned monthly account reconciliations and monitor that account reconciliations are completed in a timely manner for the Group.
- Assist Accounting Manager in developing and maintaining monthly reporting packages for the CHBL group.
- Review journal entries and account reconciliations prepared and posted by GFSS teams.
- Complete ad-hoc accounting assignments as requested, often complex and confidential in nature.

Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of (3) years of accounting or compliance experience
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
- Must be authorized to work in United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications:
- Product experience in Intrinsic Safety, Process Control or Distributed Control devices and systems for use in hazardous areas or harsh environments.
- MBA or advanced degree preferred, from an accredited institution
Position Criteria:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Accounting, Finance, Business or Economics or MACC/MBA from an accredited institution
- Financial analysis experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with SAP, Business Warehouse, ENCORE, Microsoft Power BI
- Experience at a manufacturing plant with cost accounting experience
- Experience within a multi-national organization
