Lead Accounts Payable Analyst
Job Description
As a Lead Accounts Payable Analyst, you will process invoices using the Oracle Fusion Payables Module. In addition, you will run disbursement pay cycles, provide accounting support that includes but is not limited to peer review of invoice entry, preparation of journal entries, and reconciliation of Accounts Payable general ledger account, and you will support general accounts payable operational activities.
Are you up to the challenge?
- Process PO & Non-PO vendor invoices and Employee Expense Reimbursements
- Code invoices to correct legal entity and proper g/l accounts.
- Resolve with purchasing and logistic, any discrepancy between the quantity and/or prices on purchase order and invoices
- Prepare disbursement issued electronically or via check
- Prepare accounting re-classes of payments based on departmental requirement.
- Research and resolve any payment and/or invoice discrepancy
- Effectively communicate department invoicing and payables polices and procedure to vendors and employee
- Analyze processes, involve process improvements for same and manage all internal controls on documents
- Manage Corporate Purchase Card Program
- Working knowledge of new vendor due diligence, general ledger coding, journal entries, preparing 1099, W9 and W8 compliance
- Perform other duties as assigned
You should definitely have:
- 3 years of experience in an accounts payable or associate accountant role
- Demonstrated intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- High attention to detail
- Excellent communication, verbally and written
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Confidence working independently when required
It would be nice if you had:
- Bachelors' Degree in accounting or similar discipline
- Experience with Oracle accounting systems, specifically Oracle Fusion Accounts Payable and iExpense module
- Experience with foreign currency invoices
