Lead Actuarial Analyst
Job Description
Performs high level actuarial analyses for Medicare Part D business, including, but not limited to: special CMS programs, drug expense analyses and projections, financial forecasts, actuarial modeling/analysis, pharmacy network management, manufacturer rebate improvement and ad hoc actuarial analyses/advice as needed. Works collaboratively with cross functional teams and matrix partners.
Responsibilities:
- Utilizes independent judgment and discretion, performs financial projections and actuarial analysis for complex assignments including:
- Works closely with management to prepare financial forecasts to achieve profitability and growth goals
- Conduct monthly reporting and variance analysis
- Trend Analysis (Internal & Industry comparisons)
- Network analysis, management, and governance
- Impact of Regulatory Changes
- Participate in internal strategic discussions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Economics, Mathematics, or other related field
- 2+ years of professional work experience within actuarial roles
- Successfully completed at least four SOA examinations preferred but not required
- Outstanding technical, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Possession of a strong desire and demonstrated ability to lead
- Drive to develop business and actuarial skills through ongoing training
- Medicare knowledge with specific acumen in Part D preferred
- Preferred: Formulary Modeling Experience, Network Modeling Experience, Rebate Modeling Experience and/or Trend Analysis Experience
- Ability to expertly utilize SQL and/or SAS for data mining preferred
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 79,400 - 132,300 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
