We are seeking highly motivated Software and System Engineers to support the development and sustainment of the U.S. Missile Defense Agency Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) anti-ballistic missile system project in Huntsville, AL. The Lead Analyst will provide system engineering leadership for the Architecture and Delivery (A D) organization to include System Engineering Management, SME Support, and EVM support. Manage tasks, plans, personnel assignments to ensure SOW scope is executed and IMS milestones achieved.
GMD isthe United States' anti-ballistic missile system for intercepting incoming warheads in space, during the midcourse phase of ballistic trajectory flight.It is a major component of the American missile defense strategy to counter ballistic missiles in defense of the homeland.

Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related field), Computer Science preferred.
- Current active in-scope US Government DoD secret security clearance
- 14+ years' experience in software development, maintenance, or support in anin an Open/Layered Architecture Environment.
- Experience in modern frameworks and technologies
- Experience writing functional and technical design specifications for hardware and software
- Practical knowledge and understanding of cloud computing (Azure, Kubernetes)
- Experience in software development and modern languages
- Excellent communication skills, able to understand requirements and provide solutions, with the ability to convey those solutions to teammates, customers and end users
- Must be able to work in a team environment collaborate with other professionals to implement designs and solutions
The following are a plus:
- Strong technical development background with working knowledge of DevSecOps, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery, and automated testing.
- Experience in defining meaningful empirical technical measures in automated testing environments
- Experience assessing issues for severity to mission and collaborating with subject matter experts and design team leaders
- Experience in summarizing assessment results and briefing them to senior leaders
