Lead Application Developer

Write accurate and efficient program code, update and expand existing programs, debug existing programs, and test software with both manual and automated unit test approaches. Language needed is C# and .NET and will support the Document Automation team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Expert in multiple technologies and design techniques as well as experience working across environments with multiple operating systems/infrastructure with the ability to teach others.
2. Full stack development; proficient and fluent in all stages of development.
3. Analyzes existing program logic to determine best method of accomplishing required changes or cause of program malfunction.
4. Performs maintenance and modification of programs currently in production to keep them responsive to user needs and to assure efficient operation in the production environment.
5. Error handling / code exception management.
6. Designs program logic to meet specifications and to adhere to development and architecture standards.
7. Prepares test data and thoroughly tests code leveraging automated unit test framework (when possible).
8. Analyzes production programs to isolate problems or to determine more efficient methods.
9. Documents and maintains program specifications according to Enterprise standards.
10. Fulfills administrative reporting requirements.
11. Mentor and coach associates within team and across multiple disciplines on technology, process or projects.
12. Leads a collaborative environment and willingly shares experience and new found knowledge with co-workers.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Perform other duties as assigned.
PLACEMENT CRITERIA: Bachelors Degree with emphasis in Information Technology or equivalent in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or similar degree. 5 to 7 years of prior experience preferred. Proficient in a multiple business disciplines/functions and can easily do work across different functions. Demonstrate proficiency in learning and using multiple development languages. Excellent organization skills, with proven analytical, planning, communication, problem solving and decision making skills.
