Brady Corporation is seeking an experienced architect to develop architectures and set technical direction in the areas of digital, e-commerce, and analytics.An ideal candidate will be a thought leader, technical expert, and strong communicator to fill this role in our global IT team reporting to the VP of IT Engineering. Qualified individuals must be experienced in working on complex projects involving multiple IT and business teams.

What You'll Be Doing:

1.Develop architectures and set technical direction. Activities include but are not limited to:
- Run collaborative workshops to gather requirements and design solutions.
- Partner with business and IT teams to design solutions and oversee implementation.
- Create and validate future state architectures.
- Develop and lead strategies for implementing architectural changes.
- Mentor other technical experts in engineering and architectural practices.
2. Drive innovation. Activities include but are not limited to:
- Research, prototype, and recommend emerging technologies.
- Lead proof of concept projects to establish new capabilities in the organization.
- Run innovation hackathon events across global IT.

Desired Knowledge, Skills Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent field.
- At least 5 years of experience as a technical lead, architect, or related role
- Previous experience leading technical direction across multiple teams and stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience as a software developer
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to clearly exchange ideas with various technical and non-technical teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- Ability to handle and manage multiple priorities at the same time
- Ability to clearly convey concepts / solutions to the business in non-technical terms
- Ability to identify and document business architectures
- Demonstrated experience in many of the following:
- Development Process: Agile, Scrum, DevOps
- Development platforms / languages: .NET, Python, Javascript, SQL
- Integration: APIs, REST, SOA, microservices, event based systems, materialized views
- Cloud platforms: Azure, Google, AWS
- Data and analytics: Data lake, BI architectures, predictive modeling, reporting and analytical tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing and building architectures in one or more of the major cloud platforms
- Experience with end-to-end e-commerce from website to ERP to fullfillment
- Experience working with ERP platforms and teams, preferably SAP
- Experience designing and building data warehouses and data modeling
- Experience with one or more cloud data warehouses, preferably BiqQuery
