Team: General

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Trial Attorney - REMOTE. In this pivotal role, you will be the legal frontline defending both insured individuals and the company against bodily injury and property damage lawsuits. You will engage in hearings, trials, and mediations while also providing strategic counsel to business clients. This position not only involves litigation but also requires staying updated on new laws and regulations to ensure optimal defense strategies. Accountabilities

  • Represents insured individuals and the company in defense of lawsuits including bodily injury and property damage.
  • Prepares for and conducts hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.
  • Prepares and presents pre- and post-trial motions effectively.
  • Assists colleagues in resolving calendar conflicts collaboratively.
  • Counsels business clients on day-to-day legal matters.
  • Manages projects efficiently, promoting coordination among legal teams.
  • Monitors new laws and regulations; provides proactive advice to business units.

    • Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate with active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • 4+ years of proven litigation experience or strong litigation-type skills.
  • Preferred first or second chair jury trial experience.
  • Experience with insurance defense is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, LexisNexis, and internet research.
  • Strong teamwork skills, capable of collaborating under guidance.
  • Experience managing substantial caseloads.
  • Comfortable working remotely and traveling as necessary.
