Lead DevOps Engineer

We are working exclusively with a boutique software consultancy who are ready to hire their first DevOps “purist” into the business based on important work they do with a stock exchange client.

Salary

£60,000 to £70,000 depending on experience

Working pattern: full time, remote, UK based.

This is an opportunity to effectively be the Head of DevOps for a small software agency who produce mighty work on a global scale.

Very little politics or bureaucracy just people who enjoy working remotely and doing great work!

Small team of expert developers, with hunger for new ideas to automate existing manual workflows and keep with best practices in systems infrastructure, source control management and security auditing.

Very much a “greenfield” opportunity where your Azure DevOps expertise can make a difference from day one and free up the time of their developers to build new things.

Skills & experience you need

Ideally you will have experience working in stock exchange data environments, e.g. FIX protocol.

An experienced MS Azure DevOps expert in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, automation, and security auditing.

Good familiarity with security auditing and penetration testing processes.

Knowledgeable about of testing methodologies, QA processes, and implementing staged environments.

Comfortable owning and managing continuous integration/continuous deployment processes, automated testing and deployments.

Previous experience working within Agile teams and frameworks.

Ability to take ownership of projects, challenge existing beliefs, and act as the DevOps subject matter expert.

Relevant certifications in Azure would be useful too
