Lead Backend Developer

Our team is looking for a Lead Backend Engineer to play a pivotal role in architecting, developing, deploying, and maintaining robust backend APIs and their downstream integrations and infrastructure. You will serve as the subject matter expert and have end-to-end ownership of projects. 

 
Tech Stack

Technologies: .NET Core (C#), Git, Vue.js (or comparable frontend framework)  

Databases: PostgreSQL, Redis 

Clouds: AWS Gov Cloud 

DevOps: TeamCity, Octopus Deploy (or comparable CI/CD) 

How you’ll make an impact

• Lead and grow a team of cross-functional engineers across web and backend development 

• Architect and develop high-performing APIs and downstream integrations 

• Lead technical design and implementation where backend integrations are core components 

• Identify areas of code reusability across projects and disciplines to develop, maintain, and grow a repository of reusable source code to increase development velocity 

What you'll bring to the table

• 5+ years’ experience in software development with a focus on backend 

• Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of leading and growing engineers 

• Extensive experience with development and architecture across all application layers (data, business logic, user interface development) 

• Strong knowledge of backend development using C# and robust experience with CI/CD tooling and cloud services at scale, especially for SaaS platforms 

• Proven communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines 

• The drive and ability to learn new technologies and adapt to new projects while wearing many hats 

• Business acumen (nice to have)

• Compensation: $160k - $180k/yr + equity
